FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you take payment plans?

Yes! I'm happy to take payment plans on items valued over $200. Please note however I only really do short-term plans (over 3-4 months, max) due to my fast queue turnaround and the initial 30% must still be paid immediately.

Can I reserve a slot for your upcoming commission opening?

I am unable to take reservations as I do not work on a first-come, first serve basis. While I do occasionally take some projects separate from my main commissions these are at my own discretion and should not be expected.

Can I pick up my suit from you?

Please keep in mind I operate my business out of my home - pick ups from my location are typically kept to those I know personally and am comfortable having at my residence. I ask that my right to privacy is respected and understood if I insist on a meet pick-up for locals - I'm more than happy to drop off at conventions I'm attending or local events to save you shipping fees.

I'm under 18, can I still buy a suit off you?

Legally I'm unable to form a binding contract with minors - however I am okay with working via a parent or guardian to create a suit for you if they are -fully- supportive and willing to communicate directly with me before and during the process when necessary. This will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis and only proceeded with if I'm 100% confident in the participation from all involved. I will not do fullsuit commissions for minors due to the risk of them outgrowing their suit and partials will be made to general adult sizing for this same reason.

What can I do to raise the chances of being picked for a commission slot?

Make yourself known! I'm far more comfortable working with people I've at least interacted with before - in person, on my socials or in my discord... we absolutely don't need to be best friends, but having a general vibe about someone and if I'll be able to work with them well helps a lot.

Have a clean, clear, high resolution and ACCURATE reference for your desired suit character! Understand that this will be relied upon by me to complete your suit and is requirement. Know what you want and be sure of it. You shouldn't be attempting to get a commission of a design you aren't 100% certain about - last second changes may incur fees or have your slot cancelled!

Have the money ready to go - those who are able to pay in full at the start of their commission are more likely to be chosen.

Keep trying! Since I only take a very small amount of slots on at one time, I often have to make tough decisions and turn down designs I'd love to work on - there's a good chance if they pop up in the next round they are the first ones I put on my list!

Do you do refurbs or will you fur a base for me?

At this stage I'm only willing to refurb or modify suits that I've made myself. I am potentially willing to work with specific makers cast foam bases if requested at time of commission but additional fees will be added if I need to purchase it directly myself to cover that cost. I am not comfortable taking on partially created/unfinished bases from individuals as I need to be confident in the quality level I'm working with.

Will you work with interstate/international clients?

In the early stages of getting my business off the ground I have worked purely with the local community - however I'm now prepared to extend beyond that and will consider commission applicants from those beyond our borders! Please do some research into the cost of shipping from Australia and note that you will be asked to cover all fees including insurance/customs where applicable.

What is your typical turn-around time from commission acceptance to completion?

Due to the fact I need to get most of my materials shipped in from overseas these times can fluctuate but typically it's around a 2-4 month wait. Overseas or interstate commissioners can expect an extra 1-2 week wait for shipping depending on the postage type purchased.

Can I get a quote?

I recommend the use of my general price range list to get a good idea of how much your suit will potentially cost you. I do not offer finalized prices except to those who have been chosen for commission slots as it is a lengthy and detailed process and my prices can potentially change between openings, leaving previous quotes inaccurate. That said if you feel your design is outside the 'norms', I'm happy to take a quick look at reference sheets and let you know a rough estimate, with the understanding that this may not be the final price should you be chosen for a slot.

Do you do parts/upgrades?

I am always happy to add parts or upgrades to existing suits that I have made - upgrading suits from other makers is possible but will be highly dependent on if I can source the exact furs used and will also likely be lower priority during selection than other potential commissions.
